Galapagos

galapagos 2The Galapagos are an archipelago of volcanic islands lying west of Ecuador, South America. They have never been connected to the mainland, and the resulting unique biodiversity draws nature enthusiasts from all over the world. The islands are home to giant tortoises, finches and seals that aren’t afraid of humans, and huge marine iguana that swim in the shallows scraping the seaweed from the rocks. Underwater you can find hammerheads, whale sharks, eagle rays, huge schools of fish, giant manta and mobula rays, silky sharks, and turtles.

To get to the Galapagos Islands, you fly from Sydney to Santiago (Chile) and then on to Quito or Guayaquil in Ecuador. From here you will take a domestic flight to the Galapagos Islands to meet your liveaboard dive boat.

Diving in the Galapagos can involve strong currents, and beginner divers may find it challenging. It is some of the best temperate diving in the world so we recommend divers gain appropriate training and experience before diving here. Dive Insurance is required for all diving in the Galapagos.
